(DES MOINES) - Gov. Terry E. Branstad has ordered all flags in Iowa be flown at half-staff from Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at 5 p.m., until Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 at 8 a.m., in honor of Centerville Assistant Fire Chief Michael Cooper, who was killed in the line of duty serving in the Centerville, Iowa, Fire Department on Saturday, January 31, 2015.

The governor’s directive applies to all U.S. and state flags under control of the State of Iowa.

Flags will be at half-staff on the state Capitol building and on flag displays in the Capitol complex, and upon all public buildings, grounds, and facilities throughout the state.
